Canon A70

The LCD is not big enough to be useful but the auto focus and clarity more than make up for this.

Panasonic DMC-TZ3

Generally performs very well in a macro environment with a couple minor drawbacks such as the reflective ring around the lens.

Olympus FE-340

This camera does pretty good with RAW coins but is very poor at focusing through plastic. The white balance is a key factor on any camera when doing macro photography since custom lighting is almost always necessary and this camera is lacking in this area.
